Our Story

Hi there!

My name is Alicia, the mind, hands and soul behind of Petit Angela.

Petit Angela is much more than a business: it began as a search for personal solutions, as I, the founder, have sensitive skin. 

With this skin condition, the options available on the market were highly limited. As someone with a colourful taste, this was a real problem because I couldn't truly express myself - specially during my fearless teenage years.

Years later, the market remained saturated with earrings that weren't suitable for sensitive skin. Trying to buy a pair was still deeply frustrating, as the hypoallergenic sections were incredibly limited. It was right then, after coming home from yet another disappointing shopping trip, that I decided to take action. I began researching and testing different materials that wouldn't irritate sensitive skin. 

During my research, and as a lover of handcraftsmanship, I came across different options to create my own colourful pieces of jewellery - pieces I could wear without worrying about getting a rash. Spoiler alert: laser-cut acrylic was the chosen one! Even so, many long months passed before I was finally able to create my first designs.

The entire catalogue is originally designed and produced, with the right balance between stylish, and comfortable, making them perfect to wear for all day long without notice them.

I wanted to share this discovery that helped me be myself, and that is how Petit Angela was born. The idea was simple: to help anyone like me who suffers from sensitive skin and can't find jewellery to match their personality, giving them a boost in confidence.
